SCTDA offers an annual renewal training program for tour guides with an expired SCTDA license. The training program is a recap of skills, information and updates on Sharjah destinations and attractions.

SCTDA reviews your application and may request additional information. If no additional documents are required SCTDA team will proceed with approving the application this process takes 2-4 working days
Total including Government fees 620.50 dirhams Please note that this amount does not apply to applicants who are exempt from fees.
Once your application is approved, you will be automatically directed to the Learning Management System (LMS) to complete your training program. P This process typically takes between 2 and 4 working days.
Once you have successfully completed the training program and final assessment, your results will be reviewed and graded. Upon achieving a passing grade, you will be granted the Official Tour Guide License for the Emirate of Sharjah. Please note that this process typically takes between 5 and 10 working days.
1. Applicants must be over 18 of age
2. Copy of valid passport
3. Copy of valid residency visa for non-Emiratis
4. Copy of mother’s passport (children of Emirati mothers only)
5. Copy of valid national ID (front and back)
6. A clear personal photograph with white background
7. Copy of the expired tour guide license from Sharjah
8. The applicant must hold a High School Certificate or its equivalent as a minimum qualification
9. Good conduct certificate valid for 3 months

12.The applicant must be proficient, at a minimum, in either Arabic or English, in addition to at least one other foreign language, and must be familiar with the terminology relevant to the nature of their work, subject to any special cases determined by the Authority.
13. The applicant must be legally residing in the United Arab Emirates and permitted to work within the country in accordance with the applicable laws, regulations, and procedures

The applicant must comply with any additional requirements, provide any supporting documents, and meet any conditions prescribed by the Authority or the competent authorities in accordance with the applicable legislation and approved procedures. Please note that meeting the eligibility requirements does not automatically entitle an applicant to obtain a license. The issuance, renewal, and continued validity of a license are subject to verification of compliance with all applicable conditions and requirements, as well as the Authority’s approved procedures.
